Caregivers

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Provide proof of education - high school or equivalent

  • No disqualifying criminal history or able to obtain a Good Cause Waiver

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN

 

Salary: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour

 

Standard shift:

  • Day shift

  • Evening shift

  • Overnight shift

 

Weekly schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Rotating weekends

Qualifications:

  • Any CNA's must hold active certificate in Missouri.

  • High School or equivalent

  • Interpersonal skills, including customer service, empathy and compassion.

  • Effective communication skills, including active listening, writing, speaking and reading.

  • Good collaboration and teamwork skills

  • Knowledge in infection control

  • Basic computer skills

  • Fast and adaptive problem-solving abilities

  • Keen attention to detail

  • In-depth understanding of patient care policies and regulations

  • Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for a number of medical conditions

  • Physical strength and stamina

To ensure the health and safety of each individual supported.

Assist in daily care needs including personal hygiene care, meal preparation, household tasks, transportation, administering medications, community integration, in home activities, implementing documentation and reporting management, behavioral support, teaching and supporting daily activities, assisting with money management, supporting individualized outcomes and goals.

Home Supervisor

To provide a staff position with the responsibility of leading home care teams comprised of CNAs/Caregivers. Leads the care team in such a manner to ensure that the proper care, services, and supports offered to Individuals are carried out according to policies and procedures established by Show-Me Community Services (SMCS). To lead by example by having a great attitude, exhibits respect for all staff and consumers, is an advocate for our consumers, and exhibits the ability to meet expectations of management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Relate to staff members and workers in an ethical manner.

  • Ability to accurately prepare documents, and other reports and related paperwork as required by State Regulations and policies and procedures of SMCS.

  • Maintain discipline, a safe working environment, and compliance of procedures related to job specifications. Keeps home clean and orderly.

  • Ability to train all staff to provide high quality services according to Management expectations and ensure all staff are trained according to regulations set forth in the Code of MO State Regulations and the Community Medicaid Waiver Manual.

  • As a Home Supervisor, possess the ability to motivate workers within the team to perform to the best of their abilities. Assigns individuals to specific job tasks.

  • Effectively be able to perceiving problems as they develop and communicating such to immediate supervisor.

  • Responsible for all team members assigned to his/her specific home.

  • Implementing ISP (individualized Support Plan) supports and goals to staff. Staff training, observation of all supports and duties.

  • Providing supports to staff and individuals for all daily living activities.

  • Participate in hiring staff and training. Working directly with direct care staff in the home and with individuals supported to ensure community involvement, meal preparation, medication administration, hygiene care, etc.

  • Supervision of all direct care staff and individuals.

  • Transportation to all medical appointments, Day Habilitation, work, community integration.

  • Have flexible scheduling (be able to rotate shifts), and on-call.

  • Requires On-Call rotation. *WHEN ON CALL- YOU RECIEVE INCENTIVES FOR ON CALL ROTATION***

Additional:

PAID Training- No experience necessary. Ongoing training. We certify you in L1MA, CPR/FA, PBS and CPI.
